Use the Horadric Cube to combine each set of keys, one at a time in a single game. This will open three separate portals to Lilith (Andariel’s Mom), Uber Izual and Uber Duriel. When defeated, they will drop Baal’s Eye, Mephisto’s Brain and Diablo’s Horn (Organs). Izual and Duriel are very tame but Lilith hits like a truck. Uber does not tolerate the use of alcohol or drugs by drivers using the Uber app. If you believe your driver may be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, please have the driver end the trip immediately. Commercial vehicles may be subject to additional state government taxes, which would be over and above the toll.

A recent discovery of an undocumented change got me thinking about Ubers and key farming. This change made key drops global, which makes the act of farming for keys much easier in groups. Something funny, though, is that no one is actually sure about which patch implemented this change, which speaks volumes in and of itself. This could mean that nobody is really doing this content enough to notice any changes. Let’s dig into why this could be by looking at where the content stands with the players currently.
I’ve been noticing some frustration from players who would like key farming to be more efficient for solo play. While I understand that frustration, I don’t actually agree with it. I have seen people throw out some numbers that show the efficiency of solo play vs. group play and while those numbers may be accurate, Diablo III is first and foremost a multiplayer game at its core. That’s how this game was designed to be. No matter what they do to make solo farming more efficient, group play will always be way ahead.
There is something that they could do to make solo key farming better though. They could give the keys a 100% drop chance when farming them on Torment VI difficulty. That change alone would get me back into key farming. It would strip away an unnecessary layer of RNG when working towards your Hellfire Amulet. Really, it’s no surprise that people don’t bother with the Infernal Machine content, since there is so much RNG that you have to endure throughout the process. Taking away the RNG for the keys would make things a lot easier and efficient. They already did it with the materials that drop from the Uber bosses, so it seems like it should be a natural change.
Another problem is the Hellfire Ring – nobody goes for it because the two ring slots are the most competitive slots in the game. Every other viable ring completely outclasses it. Blizzard expressed some interest in revisiting the Hellfire Ring, but it’s taking a backseat to more important things that need development time. I feel like turning it into something similar to a charm would provide content that everyone goes for. At that point, why not? I would definitely use it since it would give extra stats, a really cool looking area-of-effect damage source, and, best of all, it wouldn’t be competing with anything else in the game.
Reasons Why Key Farming & Ubers Are Unappealing
- Way too many layers of RNG;
- Not time efficient;
- Hellfire Ring is useless; and
- The RNG that is involved in getting a decent Hellfire Amulet makes it not worth it.
Fixes That Would Make Ubers More Time Efficient & Appealing
- Make keys have a 100% drop chance on Torment VI;
- Make Hellfire Rings worth getting or turn them into something that doesn’t compete with ring slots; and
- Remove RNG layers.
If Blizzard removes that extra layer of RNG from the Keywardens and turns the Hellfire Ring into a charm, along with the current usefulness of the Hellfire Amulet, that would make the Infernal Machine content a lot more appealing to people. It would actually be worth putting time and effort into the drawn out process. How do you guys feel? Do you think that these changes would make Ubers more appealing to you? What do you think that Blizzard should do? Sound off in the Comments section below!
The follow changes to bosses have been made in Path of Diablo.
Diablo Clone

- Description: The Diablo Clone fight is a special encounter first introduced in Kyanite #11. It is meant to be a very difficult challenge for endgame players. If you can beat him you will be rewarded with the Annihilus unique small charm.
- Requirements: Diablo Clone cannot be spawned by selling Stone of Jordan rings to the vendor (unlike in regular battle.net). Uber Diablo's realm can only be entered through a specific item called 'The Infernal Trial' which can only be created by using the Horadric Cube. Use it like a regular map item in the 'The Ancient's Temple' in Harrogath (NOTE: once opened, you cannot go back to town and reenter the fight).
- Cube Recipe: In order to create the special map item, you must gather: a full organ set from the Prime Evils, a Soulstone that drops from Diablo in Uber Tristram, and a Key of Chaos that drops in maps. Put all ingredients in the cube to create 'The Infernal Trial'.
- General Mechanics:
- Diablo Clone spawns from a hooded man ('The Dark Wanderer') which is standing in the middle of the map. When you are prepared, move towards him to start the fight.
- In the first phase, Uber Diablo is immune to all damage and curses and spawns a huge amount of minions alongside him to fight you called 'Reanimated Warriors' and 'Undead Commanders'.
- Reanimated Warriors are monster type 'Reanimated Horde' but are modified with high physical damage and crushing blow chance. They no longer have a charge attack. They are also immune to curses and are highly resistant to all damage types.
- 'Undead Commanders' are mini bosses classified as 'Prime Evils' for gameplay purposes. They are ranged undead creatures that also have high resistances, Holy Freeze aura, and attack with Guided Arrow magical damage. You must defeat all five Undead Commanders to progress into phase 2 of the Diablo Clone fight, where Diablo loses his immunities and becomes vulnerable to damage.
- During phase 1, Diablo is still able to attack and damage you constantly. Again, you cannot damage him until you defeat his Undead Commanders. Diablo also emits a special red aura that reduces all the player's, minion's, and mercenary's maximum resistances by 5%.
- Diablo Clone now has more life than his predecessors and a portion of his ‘Fire/Cold/Lightning Resistances’ have been replaced by ‘Fire/Cold/Lightning Absorb +%’.
- Damage types during this encounter include Fire (Armageddon) and Magic (Hose) (Diablo Clone), physical (Reanimated Horde) and magic (Undead Commanders).
Uber Mephisto
- Drain effectiveness changed from 0% to 10% (it is possible to leech now from Mephisto without using the Life Tap curse)
Uber Baal
- Now uses 'Lower Max Resist' curse which does -5% to player’s max resists
- Now uses Frozen Armor instead of Chilling Armor
Uber Diablo
- Lightning hose attack is now much more dangerous (damage increased, can hit melee characters, 33% phys damage and 67% lightning damage)
Uber Izual
- Has ascended and earned the modifier ‘Prime Evil’ (this basically makes him like the act bosses and other ubers who have special resistances and damage reductions)
Super Uniques
Where To Get Keys D2
- A3- Council Members can no longer spawn with Fire Enchanted (fixes bug in Vanilla D2 that causes these monsters to deal insane damage in Nightmare)
- A5- The Ancients will always spawn with fixed modifiers: Korlic has increased physical damage, Talic is extra fast and Madawc has multiple projectiles. Talic now uses a lower level Whirlwind.
